About This Web Site and its Various Reincarnations:

 

First Web Life:      www.MarleneAdams.com  was born as a Candidate Web Site in the Year 2000, when Marlene ran as a Democrat for the Washington State House, in the (old) 18th State Legislative District.

 

Second Web Life:  This website was actively continued during Marlene’s Run in the 49th State Legislative District as an independent in the Year 2002. 

[While neither Marlene nor her house moved, the state legislative district lines did.]

 

 

Third Web Life:     The site was reactivated again on September 1, 2006 to provide some very needed Case-Based Voter Guidance for the September Washington State Supreme Court Primary Races.  It was continued and periodically updated for the remainder of the General November 2006 Race for Position # 2 between Stephen Johnson and Justice Susan Owens (incumbent & winner).

 

Fourth & Current Web Life:  I finally could not stand how poorly the local daily newspaper, state and even some national media sources were handling their reporting of the various 2008 Elections.

 

Marlene & Family— The Humans behind the Site:

 

Marlene K. Adams was born in Northeastern Pennsylvania, much longer ago than she cares to mention.  She graduated from Marywood College, Scranton, Pa. in 1976, and from law school, in 1979, from Georgetown University Law Center.  Somehow she managed to fool most of her law professors, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  Alas and alack, poor Marlene never “published,” i.e., got her own written law review article published (in the Georgetown Law Journal, of which she was a Grunt on Staff).  Perhaps it is this frustration was the real personal motivation that fueled this website’s Third Reincarnation for the 2006 WA Supreme Court Elections.

 

Marlene was actually a young Philadelphia Lawyer, for a very, very brief period of time, before moving Out West, many, many years ago.  Although she has not practiced the law for decades, she and her loving husband, who is the real technical Web Master of the family (whether he likes it or not), managed to raise one Bonny, Brave, Bright and Thoroughly Wonderful Daughter, who married a perfectly Wonderful Dreamboat of a Young Man on September 3 of the Year 2006.  Both, being young, are Democrats.  Husband Adams is a fairly comfortable Republican.  Marlene generally defaults to the GOP, but is not so comfortable.  Daughter Adams is now officially a doctor and is currently in her 2nd Year of Medical Residency somewhere “Back East”!
